"We had the most amazing wedding at Backroom Brewery in October 2022 and highly recommend it to others! The reception site they've built is beautiful. It's a large and very functional space that's both natural and elegant. It's set against the gorgeous backdrop of the Shenandoah Mountains. Many of our guests were coming from D.C./Maryland/Pennsylvania but some flew in from farther away. Regardless of where people were coming from, Backroom was convenient to get to; it's a 1-1.5 hour drive from D.C., Baltimore, National Airport or Dulles Airport. We found that people really enjoyed the location because they could make a weekend getaway out of it, exploring Shenandoah National Park, wineries and breweries in the area. We opted to have our ceremony outside. There are a few options for outdoor ceremonies, but we chose the pretty space that's fairly adjacent to the reception building which made things easy for our guests and also just lovely to be amidst nature. During the reception, guests could party on the dancefloor, hang out by the beautifully crafted bar inside, kids could run around outside and play yard games and kids/adults could sit by the firepit and enjoy S'mores. There are a lot of great avenues weddings at Backroom could take. For us, it truly provided the perfect atmosphere for a fun, simple yet refined celebration where we and our guests could enjoy every moment. Billie at Backroom was wonderful to work with--very responsive to our questions and wanting to do anything she could to make our day special. Again, we highly, highly recommend this venue."
